Pen & Paper Writers' Group

Want to write a novel? Want to publish your novel yourself? Want it to see it on Amazon, iBooks, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo? We can help! The Pen and Paper Writers’ Group meets every Thursday morning from 9:30 to 12:30. For the first half hour, from 9:30 to 10:00, we will discuss how to write and publish a novel yourself. This includes how to develop characters, plot, and setting; how to re-write and edit your work; and how to format and publish your novel on all the biggest on-line resellers. For the next hour and a half, from 10:00 to 11:30, you will work on your novel.

3D Printer and Laser Cutter Certification

November 27, 2014 - 2:00pm

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will instruct participants in the proper use of the Imagine Space 3D printers. Topics will include: -How to create and prepare 3D files for printing -Safe and acceptable use of equipment and tools -An overview of policies and procedures governing the use of 3D printers Staff will also instruct participants in the proper use of the Imagine Space laser cutter.

About Nepean Centrepointe

A large children's department hosts popular programs for kids from babies to teens. A spacious reference department specializes in Genealogy.

Nepean Centrepointe continues to offer a dedicated workstation for Business owners. Previously known as the Ontario Business Connects (OBC) terminal, the ServiceOntario Gateway for Business Workstation is a free, accessible, & convenient service for local Business Owners.

Coming in April of 2014, the branch will house its own Makerspace, entitled Imagine Space.

The branch is located in the Ben Franklin Place complex.
