Improvements to the Hazeldean branch

The Hazeldean branch of the Ottawa Public Library will be closed to receive improvements from January 23 to the month of June 2012.

The branch will receive these improvements:

  • reconfigure and centralize the Borrower Services and Information Services area
  • expansion of self checkout service
  • improvements to materials processing and movement within the branch
  • accessibility throughout the branch

Hazeldean Library Depot

As of January 28, customers will be able to return their borrowed items, pick up their holds and check-out Express itemsat the Library Depot. All items on the hold shelf when the branch closes on January 22 will be automatically transferred to the Library Depot and expiry dates will be extended to February 4.

Hours of operation:

  • Monday-Thursday: 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 2:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturday- Sunday: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Note:If you prefer to pick-up your holds at another branch, you can change your pick-up location before the request is filledby following these steps: log-in to view your holds and select an alternate location from the drop down menu next to ‘Location’.

Full Library services

Bridlewood Bookmobile stop at Eva James Memorial Community Centre, 65 Stonehaven

  • Users can return items, pick up holds and borrow material.
  • Fridays 10 a.m. – noon

Regular programs will be held at the Glen Cairn Community Centre, at 186 chemin Morrena
