Check the status of your account by following these steps:

  1. Visit the My OPL section of the catalogue.
  2. If you are not logged in already, you will be asked to enter your Username or Library Barcode number and your PIN.
  3. Check the Checked Out summary, which provides a list of all items you have out and indicates if any are overdue.

Other details about our account include the following:

  • Holds: Lists all the items you have requested and tells you which ones are ready to pick up and which ones are not yet available.
  • Fines: Check here for information about outstanding fines or fees.

Renewing Materials

You can renew library materials in these three ways:

  • By using our online catalogue. Access your account to renew items, see what’s out on your card or monitor your requests by clicking on My Borrowing.
  • By touch-tone phone at 613-580-2535 (TeleCIRC).
  • In person at any branch.

Library materials can be renewed except in the following circumstances:

  • There is a request on the item.
  • The maximum renewal limit on the item has been reached
    (These limits include three times for books, one for audio-visual materials and one for Express Collection.)
  • There is an outstanding balance on your account of $50 or more.
  • Your library card has expired.

Holiday Closures

All branches, departments and services of the will be closed on Family Day, Monday, February 20.
