History naturally comes alive and the community is involved at the Carp branch - the Library is located in a former Canadian Forces base building at the site of the Diefenbunker Cold War Museum! The Huntley Township Historical Society is available by appointment to offer help with genealogical projects, and the West Carleton Garden Club maintains a Reading Garden - a peaceful oasis to enjoy some great literature checked out from the Ottawa Public Library.
