The Canadian and international authors visits that Ottawa Public Library offers in partnership with the Library and Archives Canada and the Ottawa International Writers Festival (OIWF) are postponed or cancelled for the duration of the COVID-19 epidemic. However, you can enjoy some past author visits and their talks online on the YouTube channel of the Writers Festival.
A selection includes:
- Actress, comedian and social activist Mary Walsh recorded in 2018 talking about her debut novel Crying for the Moon.
- Joshua Whitehead recorded in 2017 talking about his new collection of full-metal indigiqueer poetry.
- Megan Gail Coles recorded in 2019 talking about her novel Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Hunt Club.
