  • 2023 Annual Report

    The report "A Library for Everyone" reflects that there is room for everyone’s story at OPL, and that the Library provides access to a world of ideas and supports the community in a variety of ways. This was clearly appreciated by Ottawans as 46,150 people signed up for a Library card, the highest number of new cardholders in a single year since 2018.

  • 2022 Annual Report

    The report “Setting up for Renewal” acknowledges 2022 as a year of transition for the Library. OPL welcomed a new Chief Librarian/CEO, the 2019-2022 term of the OPL Board ended, and the Library now has one of the strongest intellectual freedom position statements in North America.

  • 2021 Annual Report

    OPL subtitled the report “There for You!” Despite being in the second year of a pandemic, OPL reports on how it found ways to keep improving Library access and services for Ottawa residents.

  • 2020 Annual Report

    In a year unlike any in recent memory, Ottawa Public Library remained a vital part of the community providing safe and reliable services, despite closures and adaptations. Titled "A Year of Adaptation and Resilience", the report showcases what the Library was able to accomplish despite the global pandemic.

  • 2019 Annual Report

    2019 was an eventful and memorable year with highlights including the year-long engagement process for the OPL-LAC Joint Facility project that saw more than 4,000 people participate, the design of the revitalized Rosemount branch was finalized while a temporary location opened, and improvements were made to hours of operation in select branches.

Annual Reports dating from 2001 to 2023 are available in hard copy format for public use in the Ottawa Room at the Main branch during branch hours.
