Step 1: Contactless services inside most open branches

There are contactless services inside most of our 31 open branches, with strict capacity limits in place, as of June 14, 2021, except at Metcalfe Village, Orléans and Rosemount. This means:

  • Pick up holds and check them out at self-checkout stations.
  • Return borrowed items to book drops anytime.
  • Access to PCs, Chromebooks, and printing, where these are available.
  • No other services: no browsing, no washroom access.
  • Mask-wearing remains mandatory inside, and outside in line.

Do Your Ears Hang Low?

Sing along with this version

Do your ears hang low?

Do they wobble to and fro?

Can you tie them in a knot?

Can you tie them in a bow?

Can you throw them over your shoulder?

Like a continental soldier?

Do your ears hang low?

Elephant Yoga

Stand up tall or sit up tall in your chair

Imagine a string is pulling the top of your head to make you stand straight up or sit up as tall as you can.

Bend over and let your body be relaxed with your head and arms hanging down.

This pose is called “rag doll”

Sway and move from side to side.

Imagine you are an elephant.

Make a noise like an elephant

Use your arms like an elephant trunk.

What other animals can you be?

Eye Spy with my Little Eye

(requires at least 2 people)

Choose an item in the room that you can see. For example...a lemon.

Say ..”eye spy with my little eye, something that is the colour Yellow.

The person guessing can guess until they get it right. Or, if they can’t find the item, you get another turn.

Memory game - Elephants never forget

Choose a few items and place on the floor or table. Cover with a cloth. Show the items to someone for 60 seconds. You can you a timer or simple count. Cover up the items and see how many items they can remember.

Our solar system consists of...can you name them? Which one starts with letter E?

Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune...and, you’re right : Earth!
