Fairy tale trivia

Which fairy tale character has a 15-letter name starting with letter R? (answer... Rumpelstiltskin!)

Ring around the Rosie

Sing along with this video

Ring-a-ring a rosies, a pocket full of posies. Ashes, ashes (or : Achoo, achoo) ; we all fall down.

The cows are in the meadow, eating buttercups. Thunder, lightning ; we all jump up!

Feel free to add other movements into the song : Skip around the rosie…Hop…Fly…Crawl…Run…Tiptoe…Gallop!

Rock, Paper, Scissors

Rock paper scissors is an easy game to learn. It is usually played by two people using their hands and no tools. The idea is to make shapes with an outstretched hand where each shape will have a certain degree of power & will enable one of the two players to win. There are three simple rules :

- Rock wins against scissors

- Scissors win against paper

- Paper wins against rock

Make sure your hand is hidden behind your back until the countdown is over, so that the other player does not see what you intend to play. More information here. Ready to play? 3, 2, 1...go!

Restorative yoga

We are too busy. All the time. It is important to take care of yourself by taking a time out from your busyness. A quiet yoga practice is a really nice way to wind down at night, but can be practiced any time you need it. No special equipment needed.

Start in Corpse pose. Lay on your back, on the floor or in your bed. Get comfortable, extend your legs, relax your arms by your sides, away from your body. Close your eyes. Don’t change your breathing, but just start noticing your breathing. If you are able, breathe in and out of your nose. If you get distracted, that is OK! If your minds begins to wander or your thoughts stray, just bring your attention back to your breath. That’s it.

Here are online instructions to other restorative asanas (poses), which we encourage you to try :

Legs up the wall

Child’s pose

Happy Baby
