Amazing Youth Worker Race

In the wee hours of the morning, two of your awesome Teen Services Librarians here at OPL participated in a networking fair at the beginning of the Amazing Youth Worker Race. This is the second year that the race has been held in Ottawa and it brings together people from organizations all over the city serving young people.

What did we talk about you ask?

We highlighted the volunteer opportunities for teens to participate in Teen Advisory Groups;

Upcoming author visit with Kenneth Oppel at the Ruth E. Dickinson branch;

Teen programs happening in branches throughout the city;

Computer and Wifi access at all 33 branches;

Teen Summer Reading and the Battle of the Books;

All of the outreach and group visit opportunities that are available to these organizations serving teens across the city.
