Attention older adults! Aging Well Together Programs for October!

05/09/2019

Aging Well Together is a year-long series on healthy aging being presented in Ottawa Public Library branches across the city. This fall, we will continue to host important programs in English and French. Look below to see the list of programs in October on fitness, dance and movement, art therapy, social connectivity, elder abuse, cancer coaching, and financial literacy.

In addition to programming, Aging Well Together offers an innovative online platform featuring themed digital stories, booklists, blog posts and tips on healthy aging. Click here to visit the portal and see the newest content!

With thanks to our major partners, Ottawa Public Health, Compassionate Ottawa, and the Council on Aging of Ottawa. Through this initiative, we seek to meet the needs of older adults in Ottawa and provide up-to-date information from experts on healthy living and community services. Aging Well Together is funded by and supports the vision of the City of Ottawa Older Adult Plan.

Why are all the courses in Orleans only in French there are many English speaking people in Orleans?

Thank you for your comment about the Aging Well Together series sessions at Orléans branch. Orléans tries to offer over the season a balance of English, French and bilingual sessions over time to reflect the bilingual community served.
The session of Let's Talk Elder Abuse had been listed in the blog post as a French-language session; this was a mistake and the entry has been corrected to “bilingual”, meaning that the presenter will adapt the presentation to the needs of those present.
The blog post is only listing October Aging Well Together sessions. In November, Orléans is offering an English-language session on Make a Will.
