Beautiful Flowers for Your Beautiful Mom

Offer mom some pretty flowers for Mother’s Day! You can use these flowers to decorate your dinner table, make a gift look extra special or offer a bouquet. Here is an easy craft of tissue paper flowers that can be made by kids of all ages. The bigger the size of flower the easier it is to unfold and fluff for little hands.

  • Tissue paper

  • Stapler

  • Scissors

  • Stack several layers of tissue paper in front of you, neatly one on top of the other. You need at least three. You can use various sizes of tissue paper to make different sizes of flowers. You can use all one colour or different colours depending on the desired effect.

  • Starting at the short end, accordion fold about 25 mm (1 inch) sections of the tissue paper until the whole length of the tissue paper is folded.

  • Staple the center of your pile of tissue using a stapler. Be sure the staple goes through all layers of the tissue paper.

  • Use scissors to shape both ends of the tissue paper. You can shape the ends in round, diagonal, V shape, whatever you like.

  • Fan out the folds and begin separating each layer. Shape the flower to your liking. To make a bouquet just add some green pipe cleaners for stems and put in a pretty vase.

  • Confused? There are some video instructions here

And voilà, beautiful spring flowers for your beautiful mom!
