Beautiful Watercolours on Display at Osgoode!

Watercolour painting with birch trees and geese

The Osgoode Branch art space has new paintings on display for the month of July!

This month’s artist is Diane Washam, she describes what inspires her paintings.

My watercolours are inspired by nature, especially trees.  I recently read about "forest bathing", a therapy widely practiced in Japan.

Trees are sentient beings that surround us with peace and well being, even as a visual inspiration in a painting.

In watercolour, the pigments flow together through a film of water, on and through the paper, allowing intense expressions of mood-in-colour.”

Diane’s paintings are vibrant and serene.  There are many layers to discover within each piece.

We invite you to come to the Osgoode Branch to see her work!
