Best reads of 2018


Holiday reading time is almost here, so the staff at Richmond and North Gower branches have chosen a few of their favorite reads from 2018!


Elena recommends Educated, a memoir by Tara Westover.  “ A gripping, intimate, sometimes shocking, yet ultimately inspiring work.” – School Library Journal.  Elena also enjoyed the novel The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris.  Based on a true story, it is moving, compelling and uplifting.


Yum and Yummer by Greta Podleski is Rosemary AND Wendy’s favorite cookbook of 2018.  A winner of the 2018 Taste Canada awards, there are so many delicious recipes.  Rosemary also recommends Every Note Played by Lisa Genova, The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn and The Home for Unwanted Girls by Joanna Goodman.


Christina recommends the teen fiction title Passenger by Alexandra Bracken.  “Historical romance meets time-traveling adventure” – Publishers Weekly
