OPL has a partnership with CNIB who runs Vision Mates and the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) which provides audio books to those with any form of print disability. CELA partners with Homebound services and Talking Book services of the Ottawa Public Library to provide anyone with a print disability access to the CELA collection.

CELA defines a print disability as: a learning, physical or visual disability that prevents a person from reading conventional print. For more information contact Talking Book Services or check out the OPL website: http://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/talking-books

CNIB is currently promoting their volunteer services called Vision Mates. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer with CNIB please call CNIB representative Perpetua Quigley.
