Celebrate Archives Awareness Week around Manotick and North Gower

Archives Awareness Week poster

The City of Ottawa Archives is celebrating its Archives Awareness Week on April 1 (no joke intended!) to April 7 2019.  Although the Archives are not directly affiliated to the Ottawa Public Library (although we both have historical documents, share a building on Tallwood drive and joined buildings in North Gower) we at the Manotick and North Gower Branches felt it was important to promote  three events relating to documentation that are occuring in our area during that week.  The programs will include methods of researching the history of your home and property, preserving digital images for posterity, and answering questions about your own personal historical documents and how to preserve them.  The titles, times and venues of the events are as follows:

House and Property History: Rideau Branch Archives (6581 Fourth Line Road in North Gower) Tuesday April 2 2019 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Archives in Your Attic:  Harmony Hall - Manotick Legion (550 Ann Street in Manotick) Saturday April 6 2019 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Home Storage of Digital Photos: Harmony Hall - Manotick Legion (550 Ann Street in Manotick) Saturday April 6 2019 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

No registration required!
