MANDATORY: Masks are required to be worn inside Ottawa Public Library branches, as per theTemporary Mandatory Mask By-law. Customers who are not wearing masks will not be allowed inside branches. Exceptions apply for people with medical exemptions.

Celebrate Family Literacy Day with Propeller Dance!

January 27 is Family Literacy Day, a national awareness initiative created by ABC Life Literacy Canada. All across Canada, events are organized to celebrate the joy of reading and learning as a family. 

This year again the Ottawa Public Library will take part in the celebrations. Join us for a bilingual music and dance performance by Propeller Dance to be held at the Richcraft Theatre, Shenkman Arts Centre on Sunday, January 27, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Library supports family literacy year round with a variety of free programs and events. Furthermore, we invite you to sing, read, and play in the comfort of your home with our diverse collections of books, music, movies magazines and more for youth.
