Shouldn't a celebration of cultures include our Canadian culture as well, not just the cultures of recent immigrants to Canada? Or should the title be changed to "Celebrating Cultures of Other Countries"?

Celebrating Cultures at the Ottawa Public Library is organized in collaboration with Welcoming Ottawa Week (WOW) . WOW is an annual series of dialogues, cultural and celebratory events, sports activities, documentary screenings and more designed to convey the genuine welcome and hospitality of Ottawa to newcomers. It provides opportunities for quality interactions among residents, long-term and new. We celebrate the diversity of cultures represented and those of indigenous peoples. As part of Welcoming Ottawa Week 2018, the Ottawa Public Library is offering a variety of programs including an Inuit craft workshop making an Inukshuk wall hanging and a film screening of folktales from around the world.
