Diefenbooker Classic – May 6, 2017

This year’s Diefenbooker Classic will be held on Saturday, May 6.

The Diefenbooker Classic has proven to be a huge success for the promotion of health in the community, while fundraising for the Carp, Constance Bay and Fitzroy Harbour branches of the Ottawa Public Library.

The Diefenbooker Classic promotes community fun, pleasant touring of the rural landscape, as well as serious racing with strong regional runners.

During the race, runners and walkers will be directed through the blast tunnel of the Diefenbunker, the former National Defence facility now known as Canada’s Cold War Museum.  Cyclists will travel fully paved routes through rural West Carleton Township.

PLEASE NOTE: The Carp branch will open at 11:00 a.m. on that day due to local road closures for the race.
