As we step into Senior’s Month this June, Ottawa Public Library (OPL) is thrilled to announce a series of engaging and informative programs tailored specifically for seniors, delivered by Council on Aging Ottawa. Offered in French and English, these programs aim to empower seniors with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in various aspects of life. These programs start in June, Senior’s Month, and continue through July and August as well.
Check OPL's event listings for dates, locations and workshop details.
OPL provides a rich array of services and opportunities that you can take advantage of year-round, such as:
-
Collections like large print and accessible collections; we can send hold items from any branch to your chosen location;
-
Homebound, a service offering monthly delivery of OPL materials directly to your door;
-
Lookout for PC Users Group programs, crafting and art programs, knitting circles and of course book clubs;
-
An OPL library card grants access – free of charge – to Ancestry.com, genealogy resources, and our other databases like Consumers Reports and online newspapers;
-
Lastly, OPL is a great place to take grandchildren for programs, to socialize with people in our various clubs, or just come to sit and read.
Join us! These events are a wonderful opportunity for seniors to gain valuable knowledge, connect with others, and enhance their independence and well-being. Don’t miss out on this chance to engage, learn, and thrive with OPL’s summer programs! Register to be part of these empowering sessions.
