UPDATE: Additional Services at OPL Branches – Starting Mar. 8

Starting Monday, March 8:

  • 28 of our 31 open branches will offer returns and holds pick up inside the branches, as well as browsing, and use of public computers.
  • Rosemount, Orléans, and Metcalfe branches will offer contactless returns and holds pick up inside the branches.
  • The Bookmobile will offer browsing of a small collection at all stops.
  • Hours of operation will remain the same.
  • Mask wearing inside the branches, and outside in line, remain mandatory.

Entertain your kids with the best online content - week of August 24

As we’re all practicing physical distancing, Ottawa Public Library has been posting daily ideas of online content to help you make the most of your time at home.  

  

Here's a list of our top 5 of the web for kids and families this week. 

  

  1. Join Princess Rapunzel for a storytime on August 27 at 2 PM.  

  1. Join Leigh Baltzer and her puppet friends on Tuesday August 25 at 10AM as they read stories and sing songs with the kids. Each story time starts with a Piggy & Gerald book, followed by other stories. 2-5 years old. 

  1. Join Randyman for his alphabet storytimes! Every Tuesday at 7:30 PM, he will perform songs and read stories centered around a new letter of the alphabet.  

  1. August 26 at 10 AM, attend this Indigenous-led storytime featuring stories and songs about corn!  

  1. Bring your babies and toddlers to a Mother Goose storytime on August 26th at 10 AM! Ages 0-2.
