UPDATE: Curbside services during the stay-at-home order– effective Apr. 8

Starting Thursday, April 8:

  • All our open branches will offer curbside returns and holds pick up.
  • Customers will no longer be permitted to enter the buildings.
  • The Bookmobile and Homebound Services will continue.
  • Hours of operation will remain the same.
  • Borrowed items can only be returned when branches are open.
  • Mask wearing outside in line remains mandatory.

As we’re all practicing physical distancing, Ottawa Public Library has been posting daily ideas of online content to help you make the most of your time at home.  

  

Here's a list of our top 5 live events this week. 

  

  1. On Tuesday August 11 at 7 PM, join the Strange Futures book club for a discussion on The City We Became by NK Jemisin!  

  1. Join a Powwow Workout Class with Nyla Carpentier on Thursday August 13 at 12:30 PM.  

  1. Join presenter Cliff Jones, from Southfield's Vollbrecht Planetarium, to listen to Sky Stories from Planet Earth. He will share Native American sky stories and scientific analogies about our night sky and, time permitting, our solar system including about the 8 major planets and 5 dwarf planets. 

  1. Participate in a week-long, virtual comic-con with the Cambridge ComicArts Fest, and attend virtual panels about comics and fandoms from August 10 – August 15!  

  1. Attend a webinar on biodiversity on Thursday August 13 at 6 PM!
