UPDATE: Curbside services during the stay-at-home order– effective Apr. 8


Starting Thursday, April 8:

  • All our open branches will offer curbside returns and holds pick up.
  • Customers will no longer be permitted to enter the buildings.
  • The Bookmobile and Homebound Services will continue.
  • Hours of operation will remain the same.
  • Borrowed items can only be returned when branches are open.
  • Mask wearing outside in line remains mandatory.

Entertain yourself with the best online content - week of July 20th


As we’re all practicing physical distancing, Ottawa Public Library has been posting daily ideas of online content to help you make the most of your time at home.  


Here's a list of our top 5 live events this week. 


  1. Participate in a virtual escape room experience on Friday July 24, at any time during the day!  

  1.  Saturday July 25 at 7:30PM, attend a concert of cello and electronics by cellist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Raphael Weinroth-Browne. 

  1. On Monday July 20 at 2pm, take part in A Whimsical Journey of music, dance and storytelling with comedian Rosa Stourac McCreery.  

  1. On Thursday July 23 at 7PM, join Elsa Sjunneson and Dominik Parisien, co-editors of the Hugo Award-winning special issue of Uncanny Magazine, Disabled People Destroy Science Fiction! They will discuss the project and how it shaped the work they're doing now, as well as readings of their work. 

  1. Send your pictures, and watch a cartoonist make a portrait of you live on Zoom! Friday July 24 at 6PM.
