February in Richmond

By Wanda_H

February has been a great month; here are some of the highlights from this month in the Richmond Branch.

February 1st we celebrated Harry Potter Book Night with a party. Muggles, witches and wizards spent the evening in the branch working on spells, potions and magizoology and all of us had a great night.

Lego club raced cars and floated boats this month, and last month we used straws to create sculptures. Always creative!

Here are some crafts we made this month during our Adult Art Program at the Richmond Branch.

Hope to see you there!

This year the Village of Richmond is celebrating its 200th anniversary, and the Richmond Branch is joining the celebrations!  There will be new art on display every month during 2018.   The artists featured in the Richmond Branch art space this year, all live in the village.

The current artist at the branch is Aspa Kelly.  Her paintings are painted with bright, bold colour using a mixed media technique.  The subject matter is abstract landscape.  Aspa’s work will be on display until March 20, 2018.
