Franco-Ontarian Day

One day is not enough! This year, we invite you to take part in one or more of our special French programs and events to celebrate the Franco-Ontarian community.

On Monday, September 25, break up your day with a special Noon Hour Concert with folk artists Geneviève RB & Alain Barbeau at the National Arts Centre. Bring your lunch, your favourite colleagues and enjoy a musical lunch break.

On Friday, September 28, join us for a celebration of Franco-Ontarian literacy at our 5 à 7 littéraire. You will have an enjoyable evening in the company of four authors from Les Éditions David at the bistro Marcil Lavallée, Nouvelle-Scène.

On Saturday, September 29, bring your children to the Orleans branch or the Beaverbrook branch and listen to the stories of Pére Garneau. On Sunday, September 30, discover the musical wooden spoon with the help of l’habitant voyageur Louis Mercier at our Cumberland branch.

Don’t forget to take part in the Buy a Franco-Ontario Book Day. Look at our suggestions below, and visit your local branch to discover other amazing Franco-Ontarian authors.

Please note, all the programs and events listed above will be in French only.

Happy Franco-Ontarian Day!
