Get your Canada Mosaic on at the Manotick Branch

Manotick Canada Mosaic program

As part of the celebration for Canada's 150th Anniversary, there has been numerous projects in communities to create murals containing small tiles painted (or collaged) by members of the public.  The Manotick Branch, among others, is participating in this project by putting on a program in which the public can paint their expression of what they love about Canada using tempera paint on a small canvas that is 15 by 15 cm, or 6 by 6 inches.

Some examples can be seen below held by their proud creators:

The program is being held at the Manotick Branch Library throughout the months of September and October.  You can register online or simply drop in to participate.

The links to the program times are below:

September dates.

And October dates.

You do not have to an advanced artist to join in on the fun.  All that's required is a little creativity and time to spend a brief but lovely afternoon expressing your fondness for the country you live in and love.

We hope to see you here!  If we're too far from your area, there are similar programs at Ruth E Dickinson Branch in Barrhaven as well as Stittsville, Munster and Richmond.
