History in a Hurry: Heritage Ignite!

Calling all history fans!

Come to the Main Branch of the Ottawa Public Library on September 27th at 6:30 p.m. as nine local history experts take up the challenge of telling you what makes them most passionate about Ottawa’s history.

What’s the catch? Each presenter has a maximum of five minutes and twenty slides to make you fall in love with part of Ottawa’s history! And to prove we’re serious about the five minute time-limit, there will be a buzzer.

Explore Ottawa’s history and get to know some of the amazing local organisations that promote the exploration of the people, buildings, neighbourhoods, and events that make Ottawa a fascinating and complex place to live.

We will be welcoming speakers from the following groups:

Lost Ottawa
Today in Ottawa’s History
Historical Society of Ottawa
Ottawa Free Tours
Heritage Ottawa
City of Ottawa Archives
Ottawa Museums
Worker’s History museum
Black History Ottawa

Coffee and tea will be provided following the presentations, as well as the opportunity to chat with your favourite Ottawa experts!

Please note that advance registration is required for this event. Registration is absolutely free! Register through the OPL website or through Eventbrite.
