How does the internet work?

Many of us make use of the internet every day, but we might not fully understand how our technology does what it does. This can mean difficulties when things aren’t going how they should – how can you fix a problem you don’t understand? If you’d like to build up your knowledge of the internet in order to be more prepared to troubleshoot in the future, join us at the Ruth E. Dickinson branch on Saturday June 1st for “How the Internet works ... and doesn't”. Thanks to the Ottawa PC Users’ Group, you can learn more about how computers share information and what steps to take when the connection doesn’t work. The Ottawa Public Library also has lots of other resources for you to learn about technology; look below for a sampling of items you can borrow from our collection.
