Ian Williams wins 2019 Giller for Reproduction

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, OPL does not have access to the eAudiobook of Reproduction as a private company has exclusive rights.

Congratulations to Ian Williams on winning the 2019 Giller Prize for Reproduction! This win is remarkable for the fact that, while Williams is a critically acclaimed poet and writer of short stories, Reproduction is his first novel. Reproduction is a story about families by birth and families by choice, about love and grief and relationships complicated and stretched beyond their limits by race and class differences. Williams has been compared to Miriam Toews for his ability to balance sadness and humour in his work. Reproduction is available at OPL in print and ebook formats and we have more copies, including Express, arriving soon. Don’t forget to check out the other excellent shortlisted titles below!
