Interested in being OPL’s Teen Blogger in Residence this fall/winter?

05/10/2015

Do you want to blog for OPL about your favourite teen reads and authors? Meet and interview the authors at the upcoming Teen Author Fest?

Then we are looking for you!  The Library’s Teen Services team is seeking a Teen Blogger in Residence for the fall/winter.

Here’s how it works:

-You must be between the ages of 14-18 years of age.

-You will be asked to submit a blog post on a weekly basis. Not on a fixed date though. We know you have homework!

-You will receive volunteer hours for your duties as Teen Blogger in Residence (Bonus, right?!)

-The Teen Blogger in Residence fall/winter term will run from October to January (inclusive).

-Teen Librarians will guide you in what is expected in blogging for the Library.

Interested? Please submit a sample blog entry that is in the 200-250 word range to teenservices@biblioottawalibrary.ca by 10:00 am Tuesday, October 13 . Make the subject line “Teen Blogger in Residence Application”. Be creative! Just remember to make it library or teen book related. Thanks in advance for your submissions. If we don’t select you this time, we will keep your application for future terms.
