    OPL is offering a new Returns and Holds Pickup service at six branch locations: Main, Nepean Centrepointe, Cumberland, Beaverbrook, Greenboro, Ruth E. Dickson, during new hours of operation.

    • Due dates for currently checked out materials have been extended and late fees suspended.
    • All book drops remain closed.

Interested in being OPL’s Teen Blogger in Residence for Winter/Spring 2015?

Do you want to blog for OPL about your favourite teen reads and authors? Get writing assignments to cover special teen events such as the upcoming Teen Tech Week Awards Night & Video Screening?

Then we are looking for you!  The Library’s Teen Services team is seeking a Teen Blogger in Residence for the Winter/Spring.

Here’s how it works:

-You must be between the ages of 14-18 years of age.

-You will be asked to submit a blog post on a weekly basis. Not on a fixed date though. We know you have homework!

-You will receive volunteer hours for your duties as Teen Blogger in Residence (Bonus, right?!)

-The Teen Blogger in Residence winter/spring term will run from mid February to the end of May.

-Teen Librarians will guide you in what is expected in blogging for the Library.

Interested? Please submit a sample blog entry that is in the 200-250 word range to teenservices@biblioottawalibrary.ca  by 4:00pm Wednesday, February 11th. Make the subject line “Teen Blogger in Residence Application”. Be creative! Just remember to make it library-related. Thanks in advance for your submissions.
