Are you considering a camping vacation this year? Now more than ever people are seeking ways to get out and enjoy the fresh air in the great outdoors. Camping offers a way to discover and explore the many parks in Canada, and at the same time enjoy fresh air, nature, and beautiful scenery. Have you never been camping before? You may have many questions –what do I bring? where do I go? how do I plan meals and cook? what can we do? Ottawa Public Library has organized a Learn to Camp series online to prepare you! Join guides from Parks Canada, from experienced campers, and from outdoor cooking experts who will share their knowledge and skills and lots of ideas about how to enjoy camping. Whether you are planning a weekend camping trip or longer, you will learn how to prepare and plan, how to have fun outdoors with activities such as tracking wildlife in nature, how to camp with very young children, and how to plan and prepare nutritious meals. The series includes English and French sessions!
