Let's talk about Public Spaces

Residents of Barrhaven, how do you feel about our community? On any given day you might stop in at the library to pick up your holds, take your kids to a park, or get some groceries at the store, but have you stopped to think about how these public spaces function? Or have you considered how these places could do more? Through a partnership with Synapcity, the Ruth E. Dickinson branch is offering an opportunity to discuss our community and brainstorm areas for development. Join your neighbours at The Public Spaces Talk taking place Saturday July 13th at 10:15am. This program will feature conversation within the library as well as an exploration of our neighbourhood outdoors.  We encourage you to register for this event online, but we’ll be welcoming anyone interested to join the discussion the day of. If you’d like to start putting in thought about communities in the meantime, look below for a sampling of resources offered by the Ottawa Public Library.
