MANDATORY: Masks are required to be worn inside Ottawa Public Library branches, as per theTemporary Mandatory Mask By-law. Customers who are not wearing masks will not be allowed inside branches. Exceptions apply for people with medical exemptions.

March is Nutrition Month and we’re talking food!


Ottawa Public Library is offering food programs that focus on practical tips for healthy eating delivered by Registered Dietitians.   

Cooking for One or Two 

Who has the motivation to cook well when living alone?  This workshop will interest everyone, younger or older, who lives solo or with one other person.  Learn healthy cooking ideas:

  • How to create balanced meals that limit food waste
  • Tips for preparing meals for one or two people
  • Simple healthy meal ideas
  • Introduction to label-reading

Healthy Eating as You Age 

Are you aware that your body’s nutrition needs change as you age?  Learn how to take control of your health through nutrition.  You will discover how certain foods play a role in gut health, bone health, chronic inflammation, and many other areas.  Come for a discussion!  This program is being offered in English and in French.  Check the details below.
