The Canadian Mental Health Association’s Mental Health Week at the beginning of May takes on a particular significance this year. There is not one of us who is not themselves or does not know someone going through mental health challenges. Ottawa Public Library is kicking off a series of free online Mindfulness workshops to help us all cope with the stress. Don’t miss this opportunity to bring mindfulness into your lives and practice strategies and coping skills.
The Canadian Mental Health Association’s theme this year is #GetReal: Name it. Recognizing and talking about your stress, your emotions, helps in managing them. Bringing mindfulness to the family environment improves our compassion, connection, and emotional wellness of each of our family members. This practice also services to change our relationship to stress.
