Red Scarf Project @ OPL

volunteers showing 35 red scarves

On December 1st, World AIDS Day, the AIDS Committee of Ottawa will place red scarves throughout Ottawa to raise awareness and knowledge about the positive advances in HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention. The Red Scarf stands against stigma to improve the lives of those living with, affected by, and at risk for HIV/AIDS in our community.

We are so pleased to announce that volunteer knitters from Metcalfe, North Gower, and Osgoode branches donated thirty-five hand knit scarves for this year's Red Scarf Project!

A few of the scarves will be placed in the Metcalfe Client Service Centre by Councillor George Darouze to build awareness in our local community.
