Three cheers for Paddington Bear! Richmond kids read another 300 books last week. WOW way to go!

Paddington has climbed up into the tree house with Scaredy Squirrel and Froggy, I wonder if he brought a jar of Marmalade with him to share? I hope they don't get the books in the tree house all sticky. All the tree house friends want to invite more friends to visit. They have called Maisy Mouse to come but first we need to have read 2000 books! That sounds like a lot of books but believe it or not Richmond Kids have already read 1690 books so far this summer... fantastic reading. Another 300 books this week and Maisy will be in the tree house! Come and let us know what you've read this week!

Two more of our friends won prizes in the library last week.

Ethan G holding his prize

Ethan G. played our I SPY CANADA game. He found the Blue Canoe hiding in the library, entered the draw and won a prize! Congratulations Ethan.

Max with his prize

Max C. also won a prize in the library this week. Max entered our summer reading draw after he told us how many books he read during the week. Congratulations Max!

Tuesday we had kids in the library for two different Story time programs; Craft Across Canada and From Far and Wide Everyone made a crafts using shaving cream and paint to 'marble" the paper they used and then coloured a background for it! They were fabulous! Here is a link for how to 'marble' paper with shaving cream. They read lots of stories too.

Last Wednesday's Family Reading Adventure we did a little bit of little twisters Yoga, although we had a little group it was very fun to try! AS always there were stories, singing and dancing too.
