Today we celebrated the official launch of the TD Summer Reading Club at Sunnyside Branch with a party but it has been well underway for the last 2 weeks, with 550 children signed up and over 2000 books read this summer already at Sunnyside Branch! We were joined by Yael Kolet from our local TD Bank branch at Lansdowne Park and by Joanne Markle LaMontagne from Kaleidoscope Kids' Books. They both did a wonderful job of entertaining the children reading stories. It was a morning filled with not only reading but games and crafts, with brightly coloured kites flying out the door. It was all topped off by cupcakes from local bakery, Life of Pi, sponsored by the TD Bank and some candy sushi just for a little extra sugar! Join us all summer at Sunnyside Branch and help us reach our goal of reading 10,000 books!
