Suspense Romance Recommendations: Assassins and Rogue Agents

She’s an elite ex-FBI agent who’s been undercover so long she can’t remember when her real birthday is, but her cover is about be to blown to pieces… He’s a disgraced Miami police officer about to ruin her whole operation, and maybe melt her cold heart… They fight crime (and terrorism, and they might fall in love!)

If you’re looking for some sexy, high action fun, romantic suspense is the way to go. These books feature strong heroines with dark histories, dramatic or damaged alpha male heroes, and lots of chases/shootouts/mysterious occurrences that need sorting out before the characters can be together.

They also sometimes feature serious plot points: kidnapping, sex trades, drug use, and more. These books are a high adrenaline ride, and not for the faint of heart.

  • Killer Instincts Series, by Elle Kennedy: This team of mercenaries mean serious business. They go where police and the military dare not tread, and they get the job done no matter what. The series opens with the team saving a woman from a human trafficking ring, only to discover she had the key to her cuffs taped to her foot the whole time! Did they just ruin another operation, or have they caused even more trouble than before? With macho alpha heroes and kick ass assassin heroines, sparks and bullets are sure to fly. I would recommend reading this series in order, since events of the previous books directly affect the more recent ones.
  • Black Knights Inc. Series, by Julie Ann Walker:  The Black Knights have set up in a custom bike repair shop, and they’re working hard to play the part of retired military muscle mechanics… Until the president calls, that is. Whether its saving hostages from terrorists the government refuses to negotiate with, or saving their current love interests from enemies they made in past lives, it’s all in a day’s work for these hard hitting guys.
