The Ottawa Public Library has many impactful picture books, that share the stories of Residential school survivors in an age appropriate way. Check out this list. Some of the stories are available as ebooks and some are available in indigenous languages and/or in French.
There are a number of free virtual events available to attend on September 30th:
- For children, OPL is offering a special program of live stories featuring storytellers Daniel Richer at 9 a.m. in English and at 10:30 a.m. in French.
