Virtual Ventures - Visual Programming with Scratch

Calling all tech-savvy girls! Are you interested in creating computer games and animations but are intimidated by coding? Then you should drop by the Greenboro branch for our Virtual Ventures workshop being held on Thursday, June 25th @ 6:30pm - 8:00pm.

Funded by the National Science Education Research Council’s Girls Outreach, staff from Virtual Ventures at Carleton University are offering a workshop that will introduce computer programming concepts with no coding involved. Using Scratch, a visual programming software, students will create games and animations that enhance science and technology knowledge. This program is open to girls who have completed grades 6 – 9.
