Want to be a Writer? Part 2

23/08/2012

Interested in writing? Thanks to the internet, there are a ton of resources out there to help you. There are websites where you can share your passion, work on your writing and learn tips and tricks to master the craft and get published, whether it’s fiction non-fiction or poetry.  Here are just a few suggestions of places to get started:

Take a look at www.figment.com, they have amazing writing contests, live chats and more.  Several branches subscribe to Teen Ink, a teen literary magazine that also has its own website (teenink.com).

If you’re looking to connect with some real live people, Nepean Centrepointe has a Teen Writing Club just getting started and are meeting again on Monday, Sept. 24th.  For more info contact Jessica.halsall@ottawa.ca
