For the weirdest, wildest ride…

John Dies at the EndI’m not entirely sure how to describe John Dies at the End, but let's try:  insane, insanely funny, funnily horrible, horribly gross, grossly macabre?!?  It is also clever (and immature), well-written, surreal and unlike anything I’ve read before (and I read a lot!).

The comic horror novel, written by a senior editor at, began as a free webseries and had over 70,000 readers before it was removed from the net to turn into a hardcover in 2010 (according to its website).   Since then, it has been made into a movie shown at Sundance in 2012 and has spawned a sequel:  This Book Is Full of Spiders - Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It.This Book Is Full of Spiders

Here’s a taste:  “My name is David Wong. My best friend is John. Those names are fake. You might want to change yours.

You may not want to know about the things you’ll read on these pages, about the sauce, about Korrok, about the invasion, and the future. But it’s too late. You touched the book. You’re in the game. You’re under the eye.”

Put it on hold – we’re buying more copies soon!
