Writing and Poetry Workshops

30/09/2019

Calling all Ottawa writers!  Ottawa Public Library is offering a series of in-depth support workshops this fall delivered by published writers and poets.  Improve your writing skills, make your memoir into a story, learn what publishers want, learn how to make your own audiobook, expand your appreciation and your skills as a poet, and more!  All workshops are free.

October is Library Month.  It is also the month for the 2019 joint Ottawa Book Awards and Prix du livre d’Ottawa ceremony, held on October 16 at Ottawa City Hall. The Ottawa Book Awards website lists  2019 English finalists; the Prix du livre d’Ottawa lists the 2019 Francophone finalists.   The finalist titles are available through Ottawa Public Library.

Not only does the Library host a number of writers clubs, it also supports writers through workshops.  This fall there are workshops in English and in French
