Yoga and Mindfulness Program for Teens

Ottawa Public Library and special guest, Taylor Gendron, are excited to offer weekly drop-in yoga and mindfulness sessions for teens ages 13-18.

Taylor is a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher who has been teaching both adults and youth for three years. She completed her yoga training at Ottawa’s Pure Yoga studios.  Taylor is passionate about teaching youth that mental health is just as important as physical health and about sharing healthy practices that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. 

 Yoga and mindfulness provide us with powerful tools to help deal with the inevitable stressors in our personal and social lives by teaching us simple techniques to reduce tension and create calm. 

 Join Taylor every Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. on Zoom.  This series will teach you how to better cope during challenging times and will foster a sense of community through yoga poses, breath work, mindfulness activities, games, and journaling.
