Yoga at Home

I have a good friend with whom I have shared many years of yoga practice.  We met as moms of young children, and began taking a weekly yoga class together.  We have tried different studios in our Ottawa neighbourhood, and in recent years have met regularly in my living room to lie on our mats and pose to DVD Tamal Dodge: Hatha and Flow Yoga for Beginners, from the library's collection.

Now unable to come together, my friend suggested we try an online yoga class that we do at the same time, in our respective living rooms.  We found Yoga with Adriene.

Adriene Mishler offers free yoga for everyone - at any stage of your practice.  The New Yorker magazine recently published this story with the engaging tag-line: If you’ve forgotten, under quarantine’s spatial restrictions, what it feels like to be a body, Adriene Mishler’s yoga routines allow for a sustainable meeting point with your fleshly self.  You can read the full article here.
