Kids Can Knit - For Capable Knitters

Knitting is creative, relaxing, and fun! It helps children in intellectual development by using both sides of the brain, because both creative and math skills are used. Knitting is a great activity for boys as well as girls. Experienced knitting members of the Centennial Branch Crafternoon group will introduce and guide children through making their own knitting needles, basic stitches, and completion of a simple project. Ages 7-10

About Centennial


Designed by architect Hans Stutz, this octagonal-shaped library opened in October 1967. The original 1,900 square foot building has undergone two octagonal additions, in 1970 and 1974, adding a meeting room and basement to the Library.

The Centennial branch has a long-standing commitment to providing quality children's programs and one of the longest running adult book clubs in the system.
