Starting Monday, February 22:

  • 25 of our 28 open branches will offer returns and holds pick up inside the branches, as well as browsing, and use of public computers.
  • Rosemount, Orléans, and Metcalfe branches will offer contactless returns and holds pick up inside the branches.
  • The Bookmobile will offer browsing of a small collection at all stops.
  • Hours of operation will remain the same.
  • Mask wearing inside the branches, and outside in line, remain mandatory.

Bookmobile begins modified service Monday, August 17

The Bookmobile will begin offering contactless returns and holds pickup service on Monday, August 17, with a modified schedule. No appointment is needed to pick up holds or return items at the Bookmobile.  

 

The Bookmobile will be serving the following stops:

 

  • Hunt Club (3310 McCarthy)
  • Bayshore (175 Woodridge)
  • Riverside (747 Ridgewood)
  • Farley Mowat (75 Waterbridge)
  • Rideauview (4310 Shoreline)
  • Strathcona (731 Chapel Crescent)
  • Carleton Heights (1665 Apeldoorn)
  • Vars (5750 Buckland)
  • Cambridge (250 Cambridge Street North)

 

At this time, in-person browsing will not be available on the Bookmobile.

 

As of Monday, August 17, Bookmobile holds that are designated for a closed stop will be available for pick up at any of the open stops on the modified schedule.

 

The Kiosk at the Hunt Club-Riverside Park Community Centre remains closed for the moment. Kiosk holds will be available for pickup at the Bookmobile’s Hunt Club stop on Mondays (2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.) and Wednesdays (2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.).

Masks are required to be worn inside the Bookmobile, as per the Temporary Mandatory Mask By-law.

Just ask where can I return books from Manotic area?

The Manotick branch is currently closed, but you can return books to any open branch during operational hours or to a Bookmobile stop (see https://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/current-branch-services for a list of open branches). For Manotick, the nearest open branches are Ruth E. Dickinson in Barrhaven and Greely. You can find the a map of branches, as well as their hours, on this page: https://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/library. Thank you.
