Better luck next time for an episode free of politics

It seemed this month’s discussion was going to be mercifully free of politics, until the very end when Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferer Sean couldn’t resist sticking in a jibe in his review of “The Book of Koli” about how Trump was driving the US into the ground. It seemed like a strange thing to say, given that US real GDP only declined by 10.2% in the coronavirus recession as opposed to 13.4% for Canada. America’s performance wasn’t as good as limited lockdown Sweden but it was much better than most advanced countries. Perhaps Sean thought with polls showing Biden is going to win in November, this was his last opportunity to get an anti-Trump sneer in before Trump became a lame duck. We shall see.
