Wellness is a topic on many people’s minds these days as we face many challenges. We are recognizing increasingly that the conscious practice of self-care and wellness is important for our mental wellbeing. Ottawa Public Library has developed a series of wellness programs and activities for older adults called Aging Well Together at the Library: Wellness Fridays.
Aging Well Together at the Library: Wellness Fridays programs are offered in partnership with City of Ottawa and funded by the City of Ottawa Older Adult Plan.
Wellness Fridays programs continue through December! Join us on Friday mornings on Zoom, every week in English and twice a month in French. You can also join us by phone (via Zoom) if you do not have access to a computer or the internet. Each topic has a two-part program. Themes for program topics include drawing, movement (Tai chi, for example), writing and journaling, and puzzles. We have activity kits for each, including supplies and instructions. Registration is required; supplies and spaces are limited so register early to reserve your spot and your kit!
