Disability accommodation requests

Revised:  November 2012

The Ottawa Public Library (OPL) will arrange for, and cover the costs of, accommodations requested by customers with disabilities in order that they can participate equally in library programs and events.

Processing requests

Requests for disability accommodations can be submitted to employees in person, by phone or by electronic format such as email or by directly using the Disability Accommodation Request form on the website.

Upon receipt of a request, employees may help customers complete the online form, which is forwarded to the OPL Accessibility Office to process.

The Diversity and Accessibility Services department will respond to all requests for disability accommodation.
